The Technical Office avails itself of state-of-the-art tools to always study and achieve the best possible solution to create the finished product. Moreover, it is able to design any type of tool and jig to best facilitate product industrialization. The constant cooperation between the Technical Office and the manufacturing departments facilitates the production cycle.
Our metalworking experts are able – with the support of the Technical Office – to develop any type of tool and jigs regardless of its complexity, with the aim to improve the manufacturing process and comply with the technical design tolerances.
Every finished product is subject to quality assessment. Our qualified personnel perfoms FINAL TESTING on every single component.
Moreover Silmet S.r.l. avails itself of an in-house tester qualified for Level 2 Non-Destructive Visual Testing (VT), Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), in accordance with UNI EN 473 and ISO 9712, who – upon request by the customer – verifies the compliance of the welds performed. A consolidated instruction system related to weld inspection guarantees a high-quality standard of the product.
Finished product assembly starts with the creation of all sub-groups, which are subsequently assembled in the final welded structure.
Manufactured products may be welded manually by certified staff, or automatically by means of robots.
Varnishing and hot-dip galvanization operations are assigned to carefully selected and constantly inspected suppliers in order to respond to customer demands.
